St. Wilfrid's have a first class record of high achievement at post 16. We are confident that the quality of provision, experience and attainment at St Wilfrid’s will allow all students in the sixth form to reach their full potential.

Students in the Sixth Form can choose from 4 different Vocational courses and 19 different A Level courses. This broad offer is subject to review and subject to interest a further two A level subjects, Sociology and Law, and one Vocational course, Engineering, will be available from the 2017 entry.

Vocational courses are more work related in delivery and have fewer exams. Assignment work is completed by the student and submitted as unit evidence for assessment by the subject teacher. The unit of work is then moderated by an external visiting Moderator. Vocational subjects will be studied as 6 (equivalent to 1 A level) unit courses. These are offered in the following subjects:

A level subjects are for students who wish to pursue a more academic study of a subject. They are assessed through exams in Year 13 and they may also contain a coursework component. These are offered in the following subjects:
